Days/Hours: Monday Through Friday, 8am-5pm, Weekend Federal Holidays Off

Education/Certification: IT Engineering BS, PMP
Years of Experience: 8+ years project management, IT/PKI Expertise
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Will serve as the primary technical authority for enabling cryptographic infrastructure, ensuring interoperability with federal ICAM architectures and compliance with DoDI 8520.02. Must support as the technical "trust anchor" for implementation.
EXPERIENCE:
•Must have a deep-dive technical and cryptographic authority.
•The PKE SME must possess hands-on, low-level technical proficiency in cryptographic infrastructure, identity federation, and system integration within high-security environments, paired with the capability to engineer solutions for complex hardware and legacy software integrations.
•Must understand the mathematics, protocols, and hardware that drive public key cryptography.
•Smart Card & Authenticator Enablement: Direct experience configuring smart card middleware, CAC, PIV cards, and Derived Credentials for mobile devices (e.g., Purebred)
•Directory Services & Relying Party Integration: Mastery of LDAP, Active Directory, and Active Directory Certificate Services (ADCS) to facilitate automated certificate enrollment (EST/ACME) and group policy-driven deployments
•Federation and Trust Relations: Experience configuring cross-certification, bridge certification, and federated trust models to allow secure collaboration with external mission partners and federal agencies.
•Post-Quantum Migration Planning: Practical knowledge of NIST’s newly standardized quantum-resistant algorithms (e.g., ML-KEM, ML-DSA) and the engineering steps required to transition existing systems to quantum-safe states.
•Non-Person Entity (NPE) Certificate Management: Expertise in automating certificate lifecycles for routers, firewalls, microservices, and Kubernetes clusters using automated certificate management protocols
