Looking for motivated individuals to support a long-term, cutting-edge research and development program for one of the country’s highest priority cyber initiatives. On this program you will have the opportunity to work with technical leaders in cyber, networking, computer science, and data analytics to develop the next generation of automated cyber defense platforms. Individuals in this role are responsible for implementing, deploying, and maintaining Redhat Linux operating systems in a highly virtualized environment across a variety of hardware solutions and operational platforms. These capabilities are used to deploy large-scale cyber countermeasure capabilities to detect and prevent sophisticated threats and vulnerabilities on enterprise networks.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Support management and control of software and hardware configurations/baselines
  • Using established SWCM procedures, build, baseline, and deploy software
  • Ensuring complete traceability of changes through a documented change management process for software work products
  • Managing configuration identification, configuration control, configuration status accounting, data management, product release and delivery, and configuration audits
  • Tracking and processing hardware drawings and engineering change notices
  • Creating and reviewing As-Built Configuration Indexes (ABCIs) in support of Program shipping activities
  • Creating and improving Configuration Management (CM) processes
  • Facilitating Configuration Change Control Board (CCB).
  • Providing CM assessments and inputs to engineering change requests.
  • Interfacing with all engineering disciplines and program management

Basic Qualifications & Education:

  • Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or a related technical field and a minimum of 6-10 years related experience or 12 years without a degree.
  • Experience developing and implementing Configuration Management principles, processes and training, such as configuration control, identification, data management (library/repository), product release and delivery, and configuration audits
  • Experience working in a technical environment interfacing with all engineering disciplines and able to work well in a team environment actively assisting and providing direction as needed
  • Experience with Microsoft office tools advanced features: Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access or other database experience requiring schema definition and data manipulation
